Research on improved modal parameter identification method using Hilbert-Huang transform

In the wind tunnel test, full-bridge aeroelastic model needs to simulate both shape and dynamic characteristics of real bridge, modal parameters are key parameters. Therefore, it is essential identify accurately. To get accurate long-span bridge in applications Hilbert-Huang transform for parameter identification were analyzed this paper. Then a band-pass filter designed original signal so that intrinsic mode function obtained by empirical decomposition can satisfy single-component requirement eliminate mixing effect effectively. Meanwhile, endpoint data extension method based on SVM (Support Vector Machine) was presented restrain end effects decomposition. Finally, taking Oujiang Bridge as engineering background, improved algorithm applied under ambient excitation. The such frequency damping ratio obtained. reliability verified comparing identified with results finite element method, turns out reduce error vertical bend, lateral torsion 1.01%, 4.07%, 1.68%. indicated accurately main structure be better structures.
